The traces left on Ibiza by ancient civilisations are revealed through the artistic, historical, ethnographic and archaeological treasures exhibited in the different museums of the island. Visitors have the opportunity to understand the life of the ancestors walking through the Archaeological Museum of Ibiza and Formentera, located in the city of Eivissa.
In Dalt Vila, you can visit the Puget Museum, the Diocesan Museum and the Madina Yabisa Interpretation Centre. Also within the walled enclosure, you find the Museum of Contemporary Art of Eivissa (MACE) with different itinerant and permanent exhibitions of great interest. In Santa Eulària there is the Ethnographic Museum of Puig de Missa, a former farm house in which you discover what rural life and the clothing of the peasants was like in the past.
