When a trend becomes a universal fashion, it is impossible to resist it, even though the most purists thought it would never come. This is the case with the phenomenon of reggaeton, which has entered Ibiza with an unusual force. Although it seems paradoxical in the case of one of the meccas of dance music, it is logical and natural that urban Latin sounds have come to Ibiza to stay, at least temporarily.
Permeable to everything new and visited every summer by young people from all over the world, most Ibizan clubs, including Pacha, Ushuaïa Beach Club, Amnesia and Privilege, have taken urban music into their programs. We will have to wait for the clubs to announce the parties planned for 2020, but everything suggests that reggaeton will coexist with electronic music this summer.
J Balvin, Maluma, Karol G, Ozuna, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, Bad Bunny, Nicki Jam were some of the shows in 2019 … the most successful artists of this movement can also be heard on Ibiza.
