Music festival: Much more than electronic

Although electronic music is the sound that sets the pace on the island, there is room for other music, such as jazz, rock and blues. Eivissa Jazz is one of the oldest and most prestigious genre festivals in Spain. It is held since decades every September in the enchanting location of Baluarte de Santa Lluicia en Dalt Vila.

The Sueños de Libertad Festival is committed to pop and rock and will celebrate his new edition in June, also in the city of Eivissa. In September, blues lovers have an appointment in Sant Josep, where they enjoy international bands in the auditorium of Can Jeroni and in the Sant Pepe Rock Festival.

During the summer months, Nits de Tanit stages ethnic music in the former building of the island’s military headquarters. As you might expect, there is no shortage of electronic music festivals, such as the new Defected Ibiza Festival that will be held in May in different locations of the island.

Now and then some clubs also program live music. Las Dalias in San Carlos, Teatro Ibiza and Kkumaras in Bahía de Portmany offers also live music.
